After completing an assessment of the veteran's home safety ecosystem, VA providers will begin to formulate solutions. Many of the solutions will include architectural modifications like ramps, lifts or grab bars and others will be through purchasing DME.
Technology is taking an ever increasing role in keeping veterans safe and we are here to help VA providers make the best use of available technology.
We have found that veterans benefit greatly from voice assistants like Google Home and Alexa.
Devices like these can automate lighting, remind veterans to use thier walker, help with medication compliance and even help minimize social isolation. Alexa devices even have advanced communications capabilities which allow for voice calling and family "drop-in" for remote caregiving.
Veterans with impaired mobility will often avoid answering the door. Very often, this impedes healthcare workers from accessing the veteran. A video doorbell paired with a smart lock greatly improves veteran safety and access to home healthcare.
While we offer traditional fall alert deices (PERS), we realize that many veterans do not wear them and, if they do, they don't push the button when they fall. We also offer PASSIVE FALL DETECTION systems that scan the room with very low level radar and report fall events via text to family members.
This requires NO COMPLIANCE for the vet

For veterans and families interested in even more peace of mind, we also offer in-home video remote caregivng systems.
With technology advancing so rapidly, it would be impractical to publish an all-inclusive catalog of how we can help your VA. We encourage you to call and discuss our ever-expanding suite of products. We can also help with:
The pandemic has accelerated the use of technology for telehealth, remote caregiving, and remote patient monitoring.
As technologies advance and data is collected, artificial intellegence (AI) will be able to look back at datasets that represent conditions immediately preceeding negative outcomes. We can then use these insights to predict the likelyhood of negative outcomes BEFORE they happen thus allowing for early intervention. Imagine if detailed stability information from a watch could inform providers about the need to intervene BEFORE THE FALL. What if, an increase in trips to the bathroom could inform providers of a high likelyhood of a developing UTI? It is all on the horizon with "predictive analytics" .
This is like putting the power of Amazon to know what kind of shoes you are likely to buy and when to use in keeping people healthy.
